Object
Team owners attempt to assemble a lineup of up to 25 baseball
players whose cumulative statistics during the regular season,
compiled and measured by the methods described in these rules,
exceed those of all other teams in the League. |
 |
|
Teams
10 teams will be active at all times. If an owner chooses
to resign the ownership of his team, a replacement owner will
be identified and assume the management duties of that team,
including its players and draft order. The replacement owner
will then select 8 players from that team in the draft for
the following season.

Rosters
Each team can include up to 25 players. There will be 23
active spots and 2 disabled list spots. Not all spots have to
be filled, but a team can never have more than 25 total, or
23 active, players.
Players will be from a Major League universe (both AL and NL).
There are no position restrictions (pitchers vs. offense, per
position).
Only players listed in the Yahoo Fantasy Baseball player pool
are eligible to be held on a roster.
No free agent transactions are allowed between the end of the
regular season and the next year's draft. Trades are allowed
during this period. |
 |
|
Draft
Prior to each new season, a draft will be held at a date
and time selected to be the best available for the majority
of the league owners.
During the first 8 rounds of the draft, owners may only select
players who were on their roster at the close of the previous
season, or have been acquired by trade in the offseason.
After the first 8 rounds are complete, owners are free to
select from the available free agent pool.
There are no position restrictions (pitchers vs. offense,
per position) for the type of players that can be kept. There
is no limit to the number of years a player may be kept.
The Nook Logan Rule
Any team who selects a player
not on their roster from the previous season as one of the
first 8 picks will have to release that player without compensation.
That player would then be available to all teams through the
normal waiver process.

 |
Lineup
Each team will start players at the following positions:
C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OF, OF, OF, Util (Offense) SP, SP, SP, SP,
SP, RP, RP, RP (Pitching). The Utility spot can be filled by
any offensive player. The bench and disabled list spots can
be used for any type of player.
Position eligibility will be determined by Yahoo Fantasy Baseball.
|
 |
Transactions
Each team will be limited to a total number of 40 free agent
transactions per season. These transactions will include a cost
of .50 per transaction, which will be added to the pot and distributed
to the winners at the end of the season (80% to 1st place, 20%
to 2nd). |
 |
Trades
There is no limit to the number of trades allowed, either
during the season or in the offseason. There is no transaction
cost for a trade.
Draft picks may be traded, but it is the responsibility of the
teams involved to draft players accordingly and trade players
after the completion of the draft. If a majority of voting owners
vote to veto a trade, the trade will not be allowed. |
